Getting started with the Additional Click Track Configurations in Pro Tools
Pro Tools is a software that lets you produce, record, edit and mix audio performances within a “session”.
On the previous blog we learned the basics of the click track. On this blog we will go deeper with additional click track configurations in Pro Tools.

Create or open an existing Pro Tools session with a Click Track:
2. From the top menu bar click on Setup -> Click/Countoff:
The Click/Countoff Options window will appear as:
The first batch of options let the user decide when will the click play:
By default, this is setup to play “During play and record”, but you can change it anytime.
This window also lets the user select the note, velocity and duration of the Accented and Unaccented beats of the Click as:
Additionally, you can assign a MIDI output from the drop-down list as:
Finally, the window lets the user toggle the Countoff ON or OFF and its associate length as:
3. For the purpose of this tutorial we will set the Click to play only during recording, with a countoff of 4 bars.
The Click/Countoff Options window will be set as:
4. Press “OK” and the changes will be applied.
The program will take us back to the Edit window as:
