Audio Sync Point

So, you have an audio track and you are trying to sync the audio event with your timeline, but you want to do it at a certain part.

Perhaps you are trying the transient to the first beat of the measure?

But what happens if your event does not start at this transient?

Well, you need to make the transient, your audio sync point!

Studio One 6.1 now lets you set a specific sync point so that you can grab and move it from that location.

Let’s give it a shot!

 

  1. Open or create a new Studio One song:

For the purpose of this tutorial, let’s assume you want to sync the first transient to bar #3:

2. Right click on the audio event:

3. Click on “Sync Point”:

The sync point yellow arrow will appear as:

4. Click and drag the yellow arrow to match the desired transient:

This is now your Audio Sync Point!

 

5. Click and drag the audio event to the desired beat location:

The audio event will snap the sync point to our grid. In this case, we dragged it to the start of the first bar.
