Duplicate, Disable and Delete Tracks in Cubase
Sometimes we need to duplicate a track in Cubase, perhaps for parallel processing purposes.
Other times, we need to disable a certain track, perhaps to save CPU resources.
But we also need to delete tracks every once in a while.
You should be able to perform these operations with a couple clicks in Cubase.
How do we do this?
Here we go!

Open your Cubase project:
Here we have a Cubase Project with several tracks.
Let’s go ahead and learn how to Duplicate a track!
2. Select the “Guitar 01” track:
3. Right click on the track and select: Duplicate Tracks
The track will be duplicated as:
It is easy to see how the duplicated version of the “Guitar” track has the suffix “(D)” after the name, indicating it is a duplicate version.
Let’s now learn how to Disable a track!
4. Click on the “Bass” track to select it:
5. Right click on it and select: Disable Selected Tracks
The track will appear greyed out, indicating it is disabled as:
If we switch to the MixConsole, the “Bass” disabled track will not show since it has been disabled.
Now, how do we Delete a certain track? Here we go!
6. Click on the “Vocals 03” track to select it:
7. Right click and select: Remove Selected Tracks
And the track will be removed as:
And those are the track Duplicate, Disable and Remove operations!
