Eleven Lite Plugin Overview

Eleven Lite is the lighter version of the Eleven MKII plugin included in Avid Pro Tools.

As a lighter version of the original plugin, this one comes with less modules so that it consumes less CPU resources.

If you have an older system, you might want to try this option.

Let’s go ahead and explore this plugin.

  1. Open or create a new Pro Tools session:

For the purpose of this tutorial we have a Session that contains a single audio track with an electric guitar DI signal recorded to it.

Eleven Lite is designed to be added as a plugin (insert) on tracks that only contain DI signals.

2. Add “Eleven Lite” to the DI track as an insert:

The first obvious difference that we can find is the lack of microphone parameters as well as Speaker Breakup and Cabinet bypass at the bottom:

So basically the only parameters we can tweak are the amplifier selection, cabinet selection and amp head configurations:

Also, the plugin only has two possible amplifier choices:

Same situation happens with the cabinets, only two options are offered:

This reduction of features makes this plugin extremely light and fast to operate. Ideal for quick pre-production sessions.

And that is it! Now you go and experiment with Eleven Lite!
