Import MIDI in Cubase
Let’s say you were working on some virtual instruments in a different DAW.
You wrote a MIDI part that you really loved but you would like to run it in Cubase with one of Steinberg’s proprietary virtual instruments.
How can you do this?
You need to import the MIDI part from the other DAW into Cubase!
How can we do this?
Yes we can, and here we go!

Open you Cubase project:
2. From the top menu bar click on: File -> Import -> MIDI File:
The “Import MIDI File” browser window will open as:
3. Select the desired MIDI file by clicking it:
4. Press “OPEN” and the MIDI file will be imported as:
As it can be seen, Cubase created a MIDI track and placed the MIDI information in it.
Now you can route this MIDI to any virtual instrument of your choice.
And that is how you Import MIDI in Cubase!
