New Features in Studio One 5 – Plugins and Instruments

Studio One 5 features incredible new plugin and instrument features! These new features make Studio One one of the most powerful mixing and mastering tools.

On this blog, we will present a list with these new features:

1. Redesigned Plugin User Interface:

All Studio One Native Effect plugins have been redesigned for a modern graphic user interface. Dark and Light modes, as well as a colorized plugin header are options also offered.

At the same time, plugins such as Analog Delay, Chorus, Red Light Distortion, Rotor and Tricomp have been specifically redesigned for a more “vintage” look.

2. Side-chain Inputs for all dynamic plugins

All dynamic plugins now contain a side-chain input. This adds plugins as Far Channel, Limiter, Multiband Dynamics and Tricomp to that list.

3. Filter Option for External Sidechains

Plugins that present a filter option, can now add the filter to the side-chain input too. Specially useful when trying to trigger the plugin only when certain frequencies of the side chain signal appear. This affects the Expander, Gate and Compressor plugins.
